Everything You Need To Enjoy Japow!

Browse our gear checklist to make sure you have what you need. You can rent the seasons best gear from us, and shop-'till-you-drop at any of our stores for everything else you need. 


CLOTHING
SKI JACKETEnsure you have the right warmth and waterproofing for all possible conditions. A lot of experienced riders opt for a good quality water proof shell that allows you to layer up and down depending on conditions. 
SKI PANTSEnsure warmth and waterproofing. Bibs / overalls are also a popular choice, as they keep the snow out and your torso warm.
BASE LAYERSLayering is the key to keeping warm. Wool or synthetic thermals are optimum and an absolute essential.
MID LAYERSAdd a fleece or down mid-layer. Layering helps trap body heat, keeping you warmer on the hill. 
GLOVES / MITTSA quality pair of gloves or mitts is a must. Mittens are a favourite for kids and those who feel the cold, keeping your fingers together in one compartment helps generate and hold the heat.
LINERSAdd extra warmth with a merino or silk glove liner for your gloves / mitts. You can also double these up as your walk around town gloves.
APRÉS BOOTSWaterproof and with good grip. It can get slippery and wet out, so these are essential. 


ACCESSORIES
GOGGLESProtect your eyes from the wind, sun and snow. A spare low-light lens is advised for variable conditions. 
HELMETSafety is smart! Plus, a helmet keeps you warm. Ensure your goggles and helmet fir together. 
FACE MASKWe couldn't recommend this enough! Protect your face against the wind, you thank us later. 
SKI/SNOWBOARD SOCKS
ESSENTIAL. Keeping your feet warm and dry all day is key to keeping you warm and feeling good in your boots. Make sure they have enough padding to protect your shins, and don't skimp on quality. Trust us. 
BEANIEKeep those ears warm. An item you will be wearing throughout your entire trip!
SUNNIESProtect your eyes from the sun during aprés and on the slopes during spring season. The sun reflects of the snow and it gets bright out there.
SUNCREAMEven on cloudy days, always wear suncream, the sun is stronger than you think.
CAMERACapture your memorable moments and and off the slope. 


HARD GOODS
SKI'S & POLESOur premium package allows you to change your ski to suit the conditions. Even beginners can benefit from premium ski's to allow for more flexibility. 
SNOWBOARDOur premium package allows you to change your board to suit the conditions. Beginners are best to start on a standard snowboard as these snowboards are specifically designed to support beginners with edging. 
SKI / BOARDING BOOTSBoots can make or break your day. Make sure they are the right fit. If you rent them from us, don't be shy to come back if you have concerns.
