In Niseko, we operate resort guiding in Niseko United and Rusutsu resort when paired with an Explorer Upgrade. 

Intermediate to Expert level riders only

6 hours of private inbound guiding within Niseko United

EXCLUSIONS & CANCELLATION POLICY

Your booking covers the activity only and does not include lift passes, gear and equipment rental, food/drinks, or personal insurance (participants must arrange their own coverage). Transportation to and from the meeting point is not included (unless specifically purchased as part of the Explorer Upgrade).

Available from 06/12/2026 - 11/04/2027. Operates in most weather conditions—cancellations rare but possible.

The following terms and conditions apply to the Early Bird promotion running from June 1st to - July 31st, 2026.

  • 20% off Rhythm Rides bookings of 3 days or more
  • Applies to: full-day lessons, 4-hour AM lessons, guiding, and the 3-day kids program
  • Book by 31 July, 2026
  • Blackout dates: 20th December - 2nd January & 5th - 14th February

Frequently asked questions

The big difference between the two is the terrain you will be riding. Resort guiding will focus on the terrain inside the resort boundaries whereas a Lift-accessed Backcountry tour will head through the gates and into the backcountry that is unpatrolled. This doesn’t mean just the groomers on a Resort Guiding tour - there are plenty of tree runs and powder to be found in the resort!

Yes, you will need a lift pass for the Resort Guiding and the Lift-accessed Backcountry tours. The only tour we offer that does not require a lift pass is Backcountry Touring.

Yes, we highly recommend that you bring or hire Premium Powder Equipment to get the most out of your day.  Powder in Japan is often deeper and drier than anywhere in the world. This is amazing but it can also be challenging. Powder-specific equipment has really made leaps and bounds in recent years, and having the right equipment can take you from zero to hero in no time. If you are unsure what you should book, please contact our team.

For our Resort Tour a skill level of 4 - Intermediate is recommended at a minimum, as this will allow you to ride a variety of terrain on your tour. 

By upgrading your Resort Guiding you will open up the possibility of exploring a range of resort options outside of Niseko United, such as Rusutsu and Kiroro. Check out our Terrain Guide to discover more.

  • Private transport, with pick-up and drop-off directly at your accommodation
