Pricing is per lesson. Up to 6 guests of a similar ability, and the same discipline can join a lesson.

We recommend children younger than 7, or older than 14 consider our private lessons that can be done as a group. Children under 6 will generally not be grouped with adults. 

Your instructor will base your group lesson on the least experienced rider.

Where we'll meet

Choose to start your lesson from one of our meeting locations below. 
For Niseko, choices include Grand Hirafu Resort or Annupuri Mountain Resort for full day lessons only. For Hakuba, lessons will start from Hakuba Goryu's Escal Plaza.

If you choose the Explorer Upgrade, we'll arrange private transport to pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation.

EXCLUSIONS & CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Niseko Private Lessons Operate from 28/11/2026 - 11/04/2027. 
  • Hakuba Private Lessons Operate from 14/12/2026 - 31/3/2026.

It is not possible for different disciplines (ski/snowboard) to be included in the same lesson, and children 6 years and under generally will not be booked with adults. Please inquire with our team for options.

Cancellation can be made up to 7 days prior, a full refund will be provided for any reason. Please review our T&C’s and FAQs for full information before booking.

3 Day Program. Start days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Specially designed for children aged 7-14, Rhythm Rides offers a three day program with full-day lessons where kids stay with the same instructor and group of kids for all three days. We offer both ski and snowboard. 

USEFUL INFORMATION

Frequently asked questions

We offer private ski and snowboard lessons in two of Japan's premier snow destinations, Niseko and Hakuba.

Children seven and older are welcome to join lessons with adults on the basis that all participants are of a similar ability level. 

For children six and younger, we recommend that you book a separate private lesson, or split your lesson into a half-day adult class and half-day kids class. Younger children learn in a different way to adults and progress at very different speeds, subsequently lessons with these challenges rarely meet expectations.

Our Explorer Upgrades include private transport to and from the resort, you will be picked up directly from your accommodation by your instructor and dropped-off there again at the end of the day.

Our guest services team will be in touch once your booking is confirmed to make the necessary arrangements.

Yes! We are happy to take requests for instructors. Our guest services team will check availability for your requested instructor at the time of booking and will let you know if they are available.
Please note that there are occasions outside of our control when an instructor who has been confirmed on your booking is no longer available.

Yes, if you have a multi-day booking we will generally always schedule the same instructor for each day of your booking. If we are unable to do this, we will let you know at the time of your booking.The earlier you book the more likely it is that we can confirm the same instructor for your whole booking.

No. Private lessons are available for the discipline booked only.

A full-day private can be split into a maximum of two sessions. All guests in each group must be of the same or similar ability level. Please contact our guest services team to discuss what is best for your group.
