Winter 25/26 Staff Gear Picks: Furano Deep Pow Must-Haves
Little known fact, but the newest addition to the Rhythm fam, Rhythm Furano, actually boasts one of central Hokkaido’s most extensive selections of retail gear. Naturally, it made sense to be the next location we tee up a staff gear picks for!

So for this edition, we grabbed Rhythm Furano’s Cooper off the shop floor to give us his picks for all the essentials he thinks you should be decked out with while riding in deep Furano pow. Here’s his thoughts:
Giro - Ledge Helmet + Oakley Line Miner

Cooper's Take:
"The items I’ve picked today start with the Giro Ledge helmet. It fits really well and offers great value for the price point. I love the look—especially if you remove the side ear cushioning, it pairs perfectly with Oakley Line Miners. For the money, it’s a solid setup, and you still get Prizm lenses with plenty of options available. The one I’m running is the Prizm High Pink Iridium, an S1 lens that’s ideal for Japan and works beautifully in flat light."

Oyuki - Genki Tube

Cooper's Take:
"I personally run pretty hot, so a Genki Tube is a must. Full-face balaclavas can be too warm for me, and I love the versatility and colour options the tubes come in. I went with the geisha design because I like gear that has a bit of personality."

OYUKI - Iwanai Zipper Mitt

Cooper's Take:
"For gloves, I’m using the Iwani zipper gloves. They come with a liner, which is already great, and you can swap in a thicker liner if needed. My favourite feature is the side zipper—it lets you pull your hand out quickly. As someone who’s constantly taking photos on my phone or camera, that’s a game changer. It also makes grabbing snacks super easy—Kit Kats, pocket beers, you name it. They’re great for night riding too."

Cooper's Take:
"In terms of hard goods, my daily driver is the Jones Frontier. It’s my all-mountain board—slightly flexible, directional twin, great for jumping, riding switch, and laying down carves. No matter the conditions, it gets the job done."
