Niseko United Opening Dates for Winter 25/26 Postponed

Every year Japan’s winter season and Christmas both kick off in December, but only one of those annual events has an advent calendar… Why is that?

Because the winter season isn’t locked in to the same date every year! Weather patterns, snowfall, coverage – all things that have to be considered before a ski resort can safely start spinning their lifts for the season. And in this case, it hasn’t shaped up as well as planned...

All four Niseko United resorts (Annupuri, Niseko United, Grand Hirafu, Hanazono), which were originally scheduled to open on November 29th, have now postponed their opening dates until coverage permits.

At this stage there is no official date of re-opening, with all resorts informing customers that they will post an official announcement after 1pm the day before they will be opening – yes, the same thing happened last winter and ended up being a record-breaker.

Buttttttt while the resorts postponing their opening dates is a mega bummer as we were all keen to get out there and start shredding, a few other things didn’t change their opening…. A few things like Rhythm Hirafu

Yep, from tomorrow, Saturday the 29th of November, Rhythm Hirafu will officially be open for the winter season. So if you had plans to hit up the slopes, drop in and suss out all the huge opening sales, pick up a coffee or beer (depending on your flavour) from Rhythm and Beans and think about how pow days are just around the corner!

Wait, you haven't pre-booked your gear yet? Don't you know that you save heaps of dosh by pre-booking in advance?
