Winter Rentals FAQs
You can collect your rental equipment for free starting from 1:00 PM the day before your rental period begins. You can keep the gear until 10:00 AM the day after your rental ends.
We don’t rent goggles or gloves for hygiene and safety reasons. But don’t worry! We have a great selection of affordable options in our retail range in store.
If your gear gets lost, we charge a replacement fee. If it’s found and returned to us undamaged, we’ll refund that fee. In the meantime, we’ll set you up with a new set so you can keep enjoying your holiday.
Rhythm Hirafu: 100m from the Grand Hirafu Gondola, across from Ki Niseko Hotel.
Rhythm Summit: In the heart of Hirafu Village, 50m above the traffic lights.
Rhythm Setsu: Inside the Setsu Hotel, 300m from the Grand Hirafu Gondola.
Rhythm Wadano (Hakuba): Next to Mominoki Hotel, in the old Wadano Visitors Centre.
Rhythm Summit & Happo (Hakuba): Centrally located near Happo-one Gondola and Happo Bus Terminal.
- Rhythm Furano: Inside Fenix accommodation, opposite Kitanomine Gondola at Furano Ski Resort.
We offer a free pickup and drop-off shuttle on your first rental day. Once you’re fitted, we’ll drive you back to your accommodation. This service is subject to availability.
Helmets, wrist guards, jackets, pants, and après boots are not included. These items can be rented separately.
To get you the perfect fit, we ask for your height (in cm), weight (in kg), and ability level. You can check out our Skills Guide to help with this.
We don’t offer delivery. Even with your sizing info, we need to fit you in-store to make sure your gear is right for you.
No worries! Come back in any time during your rental, and we’ll swap them out to find a better fit. Comfort is key!
Yes, insurance is included and covers most repairable damage:
Base scratches or core shots
Edge tuning or p-tex repairs
If the gear is damaged beyond repair (e.g., snapped, excessive base damage, lost, stolen or delaminated), the maximum charge is equal to a 14-day rental for that item.

Yes, rental and lessons can be booked as a package. Lift passes need to be booked separately, check out our local guide to find out how!
Yes! You can take your gear to other resorts around Japan. Just pick it up at one of our locations in Niseko, Hakuba, or Furano.
Standard: Great for beginners, intermediates, or those on a budget. You can switch between skis and a snowboard. Especially helpful for those who can’t decide if they would like to learn skiing or snowboarding by giving you access to both!
Premium: Higher-end gear for all ability levels. Choose from top brands and swap based on snow conditions or terrain (powder, groomed runs, park, etc).
Yes! You can upgrade anytime. We’ll just charge the difference based on how many days you’ve already used.
Absolutely. You can swap as often as you like, free of charge.
Ski boots: From 15.5cm to 33.5cm.
Snowboard boots: From US kids' size 2 to US adult size 16.
No. If you have a preference, let us know at pickup and we’ll check availability. When you pick up your rentals we can check our system and see when the product is expected back and contact you if it arrives earlier.
Yes, but only as part of a guided backcountry tour.
Yes! We offer a complimentary pickup service on your first day of rental to get you to the store and fitted with your equipment:
Niseko: Hirafu, Niseko Village, Hanazono & Annupuri
Hakuba: Happo, Wadano, Echoland, Goryu, Sierra Resort
Furano: Kitanomine area to city centre
Call us 20-30 minutes ahead to arrange a pickup. Advance bookings aren’t available.
Summer Rentals FAQs
Bike pick-up is only available on the day your rental starts. Please return your bike to the store by closing time on the same day.
Yes, helmets are included in all summer bike rental packages! It is compulsory in Japan to wear a helmet when cycling.
You can choose to upgrade to a full face helmet based on availability in store.
You’ll be responsible for the replacement cost of an equivalent model.
We highly recommend renting a bike lock with your rental to help prevent theft.
We offer summer bike rentals at the following locations:
Rhythm Hirafu (Niseko)
Rhythm Furano (Furano)
Rhythm Summit (Hakuba)
Customer pick-up services for bike rentals are only available in Hakuba and are subject to availability.
We may be able to drop you off at your accommodation after you return the bike, depending on staff availability.
Please contact us ahead of time to check if this service is available.
No, insurance is not included in the bike rental price.
Normal wear and tear (like light scratches) won’t incur a charge.
Damage from misuse (e.g. improper use, crashes) may result in repair or replacement fees.
