Rhythm’s Picks For The Best Bars Around Kutchan

The main township located at the bottom of Niseko United, about 10 minutes from Grand Hirafu and Hanazono, Kutchan offers a traditional rural Japanese atmosphere, a stack of awesome food and nightlife options, and some of Niseko’s best hidden gem venues!
El Asador
“El Asador, where the air is thick with banging tracks and steaming with Latin fury, it’d make you want to jump out the window with excitement.” – Hugh, Rhythm Hirafu Retail

“Never did I think I’d be be playing rave music to a packed out crowd in a Spanish restaurant in the middle of farmlands in Northern Japan – God, I love El Asadoor.” – Jimmy, Rhythm Hirafu Snowboard Technician
The Social

“Our fav local bar in Kutchan to enjoy some food, drinks, pool, darts or spin some tunes after a day shredding the slopes with homies. I really feel friendship and good times are important, so I always make an effort to try hard, because as they say: “it’s good to be Social.”
The team there is amazing, the crowd is mixed with locals, seasonaires and tourists and there’s a lot of fun and boogie woogie to be had with the nights they have DJs on. Arigato Beau-Chan.” – Themis, Rhythm Summit Bootfitter
Mecca and smooth

“An intimate bar fuelled by soul music and whiskey. A place to go with a group and groove or sit by yourself and lament.” – Hugh, Rhythm Hirafu Retail
Coop

“My favourite place to go out in Niseko is Coop supermarket on a Monday night when the meat is cheap and discounted!” – Polly, Guest Services Supervisor
Disclaimer: We didn’t have a photo of Polly in Coop, so we may have taken some creative liberties and made one…
Rhythm’s Picks For The Best Bars Around Hirafu

The main hub of Niseko United, Grand Hirafu serves up the biggest array of nightcap venues, from hole-in-the-wall speakeasies to high-end cocktail bars and thumping dancefloors in dingy nightclubs, Hirafu truly has it all.
Barunba

“One of my all-time favourite spots is Bar barunba in Hirafu. It’s a small bar, but it’s incredibly cozy and warm–perfect for a memorable night out with friends and an awesome place to meet new people. If you’re ever in Niseko, make sure to try their signature cocktail, the ‘Jet Li’, and say hello to the legendary Hitoshi-san, the big boss behind the bar. Not only is he hilarious, but his knife skills are next level! He might even be the only bartender in town who cuts his own ice for cocktails, it’s an impressive sight to see!” – Mayana, Rhythm Hirafu Guest Services
The Baddies

“Never thought I’d dance to a didgeridoo on a night out in Niseko but that’s the beauty of going to The Baddies, you never know what kind of night you’ll have. From the best sound system in town manned by the most talented DJs (yes, they play vinyl) to the friendliest staff, there’s no way you will leave Baddies without making the best memories ever!” – Ash, Rhythm Setsu
Musu

“I have never been out in Niseko in my life! I only go out on dates, but when I do, I get taken to the gin bar in Lower Hirafu or Musu Niseko, both great drinks with lovely vibes. Really good vibes for getting through an awkward first date chat.” – Morgan, Rhythm Rides Resident Comedian
Tamashii
“If you could start your night anywhere, Seicomart is the place to go. A light in the darkness to keep you fueled on snacks and cheap drinks for your nightly adventures. Then you could run across the road to Tamashii’s for a cold beer and chill tunes and even a boogie if they have the d-floor going.” Aochi – Rhythm Hirafu Retail
Wild Bills

“Wild Bills Niseko is one of those bars where you can have the best of both worlds. Nice and cozy interior vibes while playing pool with your friends to start the evening, and then as the night goes on it switches up to a more upbeat dance floor that is always accommodated with a great DJ. If you’re looking for a good time, I’d definitely recommend Bills.” – Tilly, Rhythm Hirafu Retail
Freddie’s

“Ever seen a bar with a snowmobile crashed up against the entrance wall?
Freddy’s is easily recognisable and always a good timeWhether you’re dancing on chairs or chilling upstairs it’s a vibe. The slap-shot aren’t for me but the chu-hais and tap beers always do the trick!” – Isaac, Content Creator
Magic Mountain

“Magic Mountain is a hidden gem in the heart of Hirafu! Retro, modern, funky vibes with good tunes and amazing cocktails. Great place for a date night, or just chill drinks!” – Blossom, Rhythm Setsu Store Manager
Everywhere Else (Maya’s Been There)

“Starting with oysters at Moon Bar, I enjoy a few highballs. The owner, Kin-chan, is very friendly and always greets me with a bright smile. After that, I head to Magic Mountain for a spicy margarita, which always gets me in the mood. When I’m feeling luxurious, I go to Toshiro’s bar for their incredibly delicious seasonal cocktails. I love it there as I really love bars where you can sit and have a conversation, but if I’m in the mood for dancing and want to let loose a bit, I go to Powderoom.” – Maya, Marketing
Rhythm’s Picks For The Best Bars Around Annupuri/Moiwa/Niseko Village

Looking for the locals experience? Moiwa, Annupuri and Niseko Village all offer rustic charm, traditional Japanese infrastructure and a much more low-key experience than staying in the hustle and bustle of Hirafu. Still, there’s some hidden gems for those wanting the best of both words!
Black Diamond Lodge, Niseko Village

“Honestly, just a super sick bar and it’s super close to the Snow Machine site for everyone coming over for that.” Joel, Operations Team
Chairman’s Lounge, Moiwa
Paddy
Ichiseko, Annupuri

“Ichiseko has an underground-like bar with a good DJ, would recommend if they have a gig that night, otherwise, Luckyfingers is a great place for a nice dinner and drinks, a bit on the pricey side but well worth it for a date night.” – Rob, Sales
