Rhythm Japan has donated ¥360,000 (nearly $4,000 AUD) worth of thermals, jackets and pants to Hokkai-aisei-gakuen, a local orphanage that is home to 49 children.
The initiative was taken by a Rhythm employee who felt that it is important to give back to the community and help the children enjoy Niseko’s winter environment in comfort, just like we do.
Hokkai-aisei-gakuen was established in 1949 by a monk who worked with children that were struggling with domestic problems. Now the institution is supported by the local Government and focuses on housing children who are not able to live with their families. Hokkai-aisei-gakuen focuses on enabling children to interact with nature, believing it enriches their lives and helps them learn patience, cooperation and self-awareness.
