“Hey dude, just wanted to check what you’re up to on the 30th of November?”
If you haven’t received a call like this yet, your friends need to sort out their priorities, because from the 30th of November, all four Niseko United resorts and Furano’s Furano Zone will officially start spinning their lifts for the winter season!
Can you believe it? We finally have a date in sight, time to start booking flights, sort out your accommodation and do the occasional leg press or lunge around the house to get your winter body in shape.

If you’re considering squeezing in a little pre-Christmas ski trip now that Niseko’s resort opening dates have been announced, there’s no better time to start booking than now. Why’s that? Well, if you pre-book now, you’ll score 20% off your rentals, lessons and guiding, meaning you have more cash to splash when you’re actually over here living it up in one of the worlds best powder destinations.
By booking early you’ll also save yourself money, have your choice of the gear and instructor you want before peak season demand, and have more accommodation options before all of the highly sought-after accommodations get booked out.
For those who have never been to Niseko, you may be slightly confused by the previous mention of ‘four resorts.’ To clarify, Niseko United is actually four interconnected resorts, Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu, Niseko Hanazono, Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area and Niseko Village Ski Resort, all of which can be accessed via connecting ski slopes.
Individual lift passes may be purchased for each individual resort, but we find it more cost effective to purchase the All-Mountain pass for all four.

If you’re a seasonaire wanting to get an All-Mountain season pass, please note that Niseko United season passes can only be purchased at the ticket windows at the resort and not online in advance.
Unsure about which lift pass is the best option for you? Read our comprehensive guide on choosing your lift pass in Niseko, Hakuba or Furano here.
